2:4 and the Lord will fulfill his promise to me, ¹  ‘If your descendants watch their step ²  and live faithfully in my presence ³  with all their heart and being, ⁴  then,’ he promised, ⁵  ‘you will not fail to have a successor on the throne of Israel.’ ⁶

8:56 “The Lord is worthy of praise because he has made Israel his people secure ⁷  just as he promised! Not one of all the faithful promises he made through his servant Moses is left unfulfilled! ⁸

11:11 So the Lord said to Solomon, “Because you insist on doing these things and have not kept the covenantal rules I gave you, ⁹  I will surely tear the kingdom away from you and give it to your servant.

11:34 I will not take the whole kingdom from his hand. I will allow him to be ruler for the rest of his life for the sake of my chosen servant David who kept my commandments and rules.
